CSG Skills Institute was formally known as Siyaya Skills Institute, which was established in 2001 in response to the Skills Development Act and the Skills Levies Act. The founding members of the company have been involved with skills development and training since 1980 and were involved in developing some of the first Unit Standards and Qualifications on the National Qualifications Framework.
CSG Skills Institute prides itself in a solid and successful reputation within the educational landscape in South Africa through its years of expertise in both professional consulting services as well as the successful roll out of a variety of complex and large scale training projects.
Professional services offered by CSG Skills Institute include legislative compliance around the Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment Act (B-BBEE), the Employment Equity Act (EE) and, the Skills Development Act (SDA). Many South African organisations are obligated to comply with the above legislation which each holds a number of complexities. Non compliance can result in heavy fines or loss of income in terms of B-BBEE legislation due to low B-BBEE scores.

Due to CSG Skills Institute’s fully accredited training division, solutions offered to clients in terms of skills development is also implemented and managed on behalf of the client by the Institute, providing the client with peace of mind in terms of compliance as well as any required implementation of complex skills development initiatives.
